turned digital humanities meets new testament research
I am postdoctoral researcher/assistant professor (“wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter”) of New Testament Studies at the Divinity School of Marburg University. Before that I was subject librarian for Theology, Art History, and Music Studies, librarian for digital publishing and digital learning (with a special focus on digital humanities and gaming).
I hold a PhD in Theology. In my dissertation (published as Paulus als Briefroman erzählt. Studien zum antiken Briefroman und seiner christlichen Rezeption in den Pastoralbriefen, Novum Testamentum et Orbis Antiquus 76, V&R 2009) I analysed the post-Pauline Pastoral Epistles on the generic background of the ancient epistolary novel.
My research and publications focus on intersections of early Christian theology, ancient Greek and Roman literature, and modern literature theory.
My current research project adds digital humanities approaches to these intersections which I use to analyse the peculiarities separating the book of Acts from the gospel of Luke.
